More than 70 students from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) School of Business Administration (SBA) engaged in a forward-looking dialogue about the future of business and their role in it at the inaugural of PwC Youth Council hosted by SBA.
The PwC Youth Council is an initiative by PwC Middle East in partnership with the UAE’s Federal Youth Authority. This new venture is dedicated to nurturing Emirati talent by fostering a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and career development between UAE leadership, the private sector and the youth. It focuses on nationalization, offering opportunities for growth and development, with its primary goal being the establishment of meaningful relationships and career advancement for young Emiratis.
“Our longstanding collaboration with PwC, supporting our internship program and championing Emiratization, is a prime example of how we bring diverse industry perspectives into our academic environment. We continuously encourage our industry partners to engage with our students and SBA, enriching their learning journey,” said Dr. Narjess Boubakri, Dean of SBA.
The event featured a panel discussion with PwC employees and showcased videos providing an insider’s view into a day in the lives of a PwC auditor and a consultant, providing students with a real-world perspective of the industry.
“The PwC Youth Council offers a platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange among UAE leadership, members of the private sector, and the youth. The Youth Council plays a crucial role in nurturing the UAE's next generation of leaders, empowering youth voices and contributing to the development of a dynamic, diverse workforce. This initiative highlights our dedication to national growth, showcasing a variety of ideas and creativity from our youth to fostering young leaders and equipping them to advance the nation's future,” said Khaled Bin Braik, Consulting Partner and Nationalisation Leader at PwC Middle East.
