SBA recognizes 600 students for academic excellence at Dean’s List ceremony
The School of Business Administration (SBA) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) recognized 600 students for outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2026 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must achieve a minimum semester GPA of 3.50 and register for and earn a minimum of 14 credit hours in gradable (excluding Pass/Fail courses).
“Being named to the Dean’s List reflects sustained effort, intellectual curiosity and a commitment to excellence. We are proud of these students and the standards they have set for themselves. Their achievement reflects the dedication they bring to their education and the ambition they will carry into their future careers,” said Dr. Narjess Boubakri, Dean of SBA.
Among those recognized was Mouna El Tannir, a marketing student, who described the ceremony as a celebration of individual achievement and the SBA community.
“The Dean’s List Ceremony is a meaningful reminder that our hard work is recognized and celebrated by the SBA community. Sharing this occasion with fellow students and the faculty who support us makes it especially rewarding and motivates us to keep striving toward our goals,” she said.
The ceremony also featured SBA alumna Carmel Abdillah, former president of the Dean’s Business Team, who shared insights from her journey since graduation.
SBA offers undergraduate and graduate programs across business and economics, including majors in accounting, economics, finance, information systems and business analytics, management, marketing and supply chain management. Its graduate programs span business administration, business data analytics, accounting, economics and policy, finance and doctoral study. Students can apply their learning through experiential opportunities such as the Interactive Trading Floor and connections with business leaders and employers.
The strength of these programs is reflected in the QS World University Rankings 2026. AUS ranks first (tied) in the UAE and among the top 250 universities globally for accounting and finance; third in the UAE and among the top 300 for business and management studies; and third in the UAE and among the top 400 for economics and econometrics.
