The College of Arts and Sciences offers executive and professional education courses in one or more of our disciplines that are uniquely tailored to meet the requirements of government or private entities in the UAE and MENA region. The instructors in these programs are AUS faculty members who are experts in their respective fields and are equipped with the up to date teaching skills and methodologies to deliver their expertise to a wide range of audiences. Where appropriate our instructors will team-teach with leaders from industry to provide a teaching experience that provides the perfect blend of theory and practice. Courses can be offered in English and/or Arabic.
Below are some examples of custom courses that have recently been taught by the College of Arts and Sciences:
Executive Education Program in Government Communications (On Site)
Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future this week long executive education program covered the design and implementation of a modern day government communication campaign relevant to the UAE. The participants were communication specialists from various government entities in the UAE.
Professional Communication Workshop (Off site)
Delivered over two weeks to employees of the UAE Ministry of Defence, this two-week communication workshop covered professional communication skills such as proposals, policy briefs, formal presentations and public speaking in both English and Arabic.
Innovative Teaching Workshop (Off site)
Delivered as a one-day workshop to teachers at School of Modern Skills, Dubai, this short program provided support classes in the areas differentiating instruction, progress follow-up, and the promotion of critical thinking.
Radioactivity Standards and Radiation Protection (Onsite)
This one-week course to be run in Fall 2017 covers the theory and emerging practice behind radiation protection and waste management within the nuclear energy industry.
As a complement to our custom courses that are tailored to the unique needs of individual clients, the College of Arts and Sciences offers open – enrollment courses in some of our key areas.
